Course Overview

This course develops your knowledge and skills to effectively plan and supervise construction sites. You will learn how to prepare cost estimates, administer contracts, and manage residential construction projects in accordance with current building codes and standards. The course also covers legal requirements related to Class 1 to 10 buildings (up to two storeys) and Class 2 to 9 Type C constructions.

Additionally, you will gain the ability to oversee construction work and liaise with clients from project initiation through to completion.
Please note that this course is based on Australian building codes and regulations.
Builder and Site Supervisor licensing varies across States and Territories.

What Can I Expect

There are 19 units in this qualification out of which 11 are core and 8 are elective units. The AICT College  Industry Advisory Panel has recommended the elective units which are most suitable for the workplace

Training and Assessment

This course is delivered in a blended ( face to face + online ) environment and includes structured learning activities including theory, group discussions, case studies, presentations, role plays, research, projects, workplace simulated activities, and written assessments

What are the entry requirements?

Age – 18+

English – IELTS 5.5 or equivalent in TOEFL, PTE, OET. Or /And Meet the Literacy, Language, Numeracy (LLN) test organised by AICT college*

Academic – At least Year 12 Equivalent to Australian standards or/and Certificate level qualification from Australia or/and Life experiences and background of relevant work (to be supported by resume and interview and referrals)
